17TH: Yes it looks like the CYRIX chip
is back on the block this time made by Via. These
chips are cheap so dont expect cutting edge
performance from one of these as they have no L2
cache reminicent of the celeron A chips.
<cringe> Yes there about as good as a
similar clocked celeron 1 but when you load up a
game the celery whips it good, so cyrix cpu's
remain the same, only buy one for a business
machine or if someone has a gun to your head.
Otherwise leave well alone. Lets hope they learn
from there mistakes as amd did and come out with
the next wonder chip, heres hoping via! |

16TH: The P4 Intel chip still is not
as good as an Athlon at the same clock speed, but
when those sse2 instructions kick in they really
kick, but the problem here is that not too many
progs use sse2 instruction set yet. All this
takes me back to when Amd released 3dnow, sure it
flew when a prog used it but when it didnt it
fell on its face against other chips! |

15TH: Ok people's this is what is
happening at REDLINE, first of all you will have
noticed that i have gone back to a 800 x 600
resolution now cause the darn thing was too big
for all our 640 x 480 users, second i am only
using the one email now and not 2 {
redlineoverclockers@email.com
}, thirdly
i am in an extensive update of most of the
information, as a lot has happened in the past
few months. And.........thats probably it for
now, remember if you want to see something on the

people!!!!! Yes I am still alive! I know you're
all saying " where on earth have you been
" but all it was, was that I simply did'nt
have a computer for the last 7 months, a bit of a
financial thing you know. But I am back, so keep
coming back for updates and the like, and the

P4 VS THE RDRAM ATHLON, THE MOST INTERESTING
THING ABOUT IT WAS THE FACT THAT THEY COMPARED A
1.5 GHZ P4 AGAINST THE 1.2 GHZ ATHLON, THATS A
300 MHZ MARGIN. AS YOU CAN GUESS THE ATHLON CAME
OUT ON TOP! AMD SURE CAN MAKE FAST CHIPS. |

WITH SONY RELEASING PLAYSTATION 2 AND MICROSOFT
RELEASING X-BOX, THIS BEGS TO ASK THE QUESTION OF
WHERE ARE COMPUTERS HEADING WHEN TWO OF THE
BIGGEST CORPS ON EARTH RELEASE PC'S IN A BOX AS
IT WERE THAT ARE BY PC STANDARDS CHEAP AS HELL
AND HAVE THE POWER TO KNOCK DOWN THE HIGHEST END
PC? THESE CORPS ARE OBVIOUSLY SENSING A CHANGE IN
THE MARKET AND ARE MOVING IN DIFFERENT
DIRECTIONS, FOR EXAMPLE X-BOX IS POWERED BY INTEL
P3 750, MAYBE WITH ENOUGH TIME AND MARKETING WE
WILL ALL MOVE AWAY FROM THE PC PLATFORM AND INTO
THESE NEW PC'S IN A BOX? WITH SONY, INTEL, AND
MICROSOFT BEHIND THIS I DOUBT WHETHER WE WILL
